The Pulsar Tremolo pedal provides several nice features in a tremolo that does not take up a lot of space or add more weight to the pedal board. The Pulsar Tremolo has a depth control, a shape control, a rate control and wave shape switch. With the wave shape switch, a musician can switch between the wave triangle mode and the square wave mode. The shape knob changes the shape of the wave to provide a little more flexibility to the effect. The depth knob adjusts the amount of tremolo and the rate knob adjusts the speed of modulation for the effect. When the Pulsar Tremolo is off, the pedal will be in bypass mode. The rate control is really sensitive and will go from slow to crazy in a heartbeat. If you like verity in a tremolo effect and do not mind spending some time tweaking an effect pedal, then this pedal is for you. If want a simple tremolo effect that does not require micro tweaking, then save your hard earned $$$ and check out the Danelectro Cool Cat Series CT-1 Tremolo.Read full review
It’s great for what it is but if you just want a simple termolo I’d look elsewhere. This one is super sensitive and the slightest tweak of a dial makes a big difference; it does a lot but you can’t guarantee your “pulses” will be on cue. Better for studio than for a live settinf

For the money, this is the best tremolo guitar pedal out there. It is a little tricky to learn how to use (if you want *really* over the top sounds), otherwise it's a cinch. It's set up for the following: - Shape (Wave form) - Rate (Speed of tremolo) - Depth (amount of your signal) - Wave shape switch (ascending and descending wave pattern, also a square) I primarily have the wave at 12:00, a symmetrical wave form, the speed changes so it doesn't matter (anything past 12:00 is TOO fast), and the depth at it's max. Now here's the thing about the Depth Conrol, anything past a slightly beyond 3:00, it stops working correctly, it sounds terrible, in my opinion -doubling the rate, and sounding messy. I dont know why it does this. Mostly for how I play I leave it at the square wave. There are some nice effects you can make it do, such as changing the wave pattern as it decays. Perfect for surf rock and mellow rhythm chordings.Read full review
While this trem has a broad range of sounds, the controls are incredibly finicky. You can spend five minutes getting a reasonably good sound and then move a knob 1/16th of turn only to start the process all over again as all the sounds / controls interact each other. I had this thing in my pedal board (not even thrown in a bag randomly) for two days. I got a sound I liked, put the pedal board in it's case, took it out at rehearsal, only to find a minute rub of a control required extensive time to get back to a good sound. If you like the sounds this thing makes and have the time to adjust and not move it, it's a good cheap trem. If you're a gigging or active musician, this thing blows. There are much better choices out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg. I would pass on this and ps. I do generally EHX products. Not this one.Read full review
