I'd rate this 4.5 out of 5 stars only because the integration with Ableton Live doesn't allow me to fully leverage the unique integration that is possible with Native Instruments' Maschine or Komplete software. The included software is great for having a wide variety of playable instruments in all kinds of musical genres, and for leveraging the keyboard's software/hardware integration. For example, with the included Massive synth, each sound comes with 8 macro knobs that are automatically assigned to the keyboard's 8 knobs, and correctly labeled. It is simple to play and manipulate sounds without ever having to look at the computer screen. However, the included software is not like Maschine, which provides a poor man's DAW - a means to record, play back, edit, and mix musical scores. The included Komplete software requires another DAW (like Maschine, Ableton Live, Logic, etc.) in order to record, play back, edit, and mix your music. The keyboard has to be hooked up to a computer. Alone, it is worthless. It has no on-board sounds or sound-output ports/hardware. Like other controller keyboards, this is how it was intentionally designed. The multicolored LEDs on each key are a great way to color-code your instruments and help with playing scales in different keys (like the key of F major or A# minor). There are other controller keyboards out there that have more knobs, pads, and sliders, but what is unique to this instrument is the ability to flawlessly integrate with the software by color-coding and by context-sensitive knob labeling. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and I have no regrets and no desire to purchase a different competing technology.Read full review

Real key board players may find faults with this but I can't. I use this for recording and it provides percussion and other instruments that I don't play myself, and for this it's a fantastic tool. It came with (and is really well integrated with) Komplete10 Ultimate and you won't live long enough to properly explore this hard and software combinations potential.

Nice controller feels and looks like a full fledged keyboard instead of just a controller. Well built with nice features the light guide is very cool.

Decent 'borderline acceptable' Chinese quality keyboard. Had several units with wobbly knobs and uneven resistance across the board. The strips are cool when they work. "Light guide" looks great and is truly useful with Kontakt. Arp and chords are awesome. Fatar keybed is better than most plastic Chinese controllers but does not come close to the Access Virus 61 or Kawai K5000 or Emu E4K Fatar keybeds. Integration with the latest NKS is ok. Remember it is Vst wrapper that needs to be instantiated on every track. External Midi control is limited. I also own the Nektar Panorama P4 and they are very different animals but great to own at around $300 each if found used. Cheers. Make noise
