I have my system setup with Klipsch quintet 4.0 satellites and teamed with a pair of Klipsch SW-350 subs. It pushes out some nice sound. One of the nice features I wondered about is the video scaling. Turns out the video processor is does a nice job. It puts out a magnificent picture with great colors. The setup was mildly painless. With reasonable patients and some enthusiastic calm, you will have it done in 15-20 minutes. I am loving it!

Sounds great but Pioneer removed the ability to select a specific video output like you could on the 1020K. You now only have the choice of pure or auto however your television/monitor will not reflect an upscaled video output.

i bought this one for my home theater room, and have the vsx-830k in the living quarters, thhese two are bassicaly the same thing, just differant model number, i think the 830-k has a lil more power than this onne, both are great sounding, the app gets to be a pain, when it looses network you have to open the navi..andd can somtimes be a pain, then, everytime you switch componets you have to reset the speaker value on the smart phone, witch is a pain..over all..there ok if it,s in lock mode the price whould be lowerd if it,s gonna take an electroinis person to unlock, i can do it in 30 seconds..

Sounded close to Pioneer Elite a/v receiver at a much lower price. It sounded decent in both surround sound and stereo modes. It will satisfy most users but may fall short for critical audiophiles. It is a great bargain especially if you can buy one used at a much discounted price.
