I bought this product to cast bullets for a Pistol caliber carbine and the SWC configuration is a bit too flat-nosed to chamber the round in the barrel which has an only minor feed ramp. I am in the process of trying to find a strictly round nose profile which will be necessary for the round to chamber .properly. Makers of that type of mold are backlogged on their production schedule, so I will have to use plated bullets till the makers of the round nose profile can deliver.I have other Lee molds and they produce excellent bullets but this profile isnt ideal for a Pistol Caliber carbine. The bullets this mold produces are excellent quality but it is the profile which makes this product an unworkable solution.to my application. Anyone want to buy a 145 G -.401 cal Lee Mold? I would sell this one.Read full review

I have used many molds in the past, all steel. This aluminum mold is the way to go. Heats up fast, bullets drop with little or no sticking. You will be suprised how many bullets you can cast quickly with just two cavitys. One word of advise. Dip the aluminum portion of the mold in the molten lead for about 30 to 40 seconds. The mold heats fast and you will be casting prestine bullets on the first pour. I recomend this product, and for the price it's cheap but that is just a bonus to a great value.

This mold works just as well as molds costing 4 times as much. Bullets are with in +/- .4 grains of it's intended weight using wheel weight lead.
