I read somewhere that my favorite fume-head, former model and heir to a champagne fortune Annick Goutal, actually doesn't wholly love gardenia.....rather like me and rose I suppose. En tout cas I came to Gardenia Passion in the opposite order from its creative inception, as in, after I had lived and loved my way through a 3.5 ounce bottle of Matin d'Orage EDP, created many years after Gardenia Passion. Matin d'orage allegedly evokes a Japanese themed flower garden after a rainstorm...and there is gardenia in the opening. I like a gardenia growing of course and sometimes I like a scent that seems linear...however...I have now tried tossed or endured a fair share of fragrances that were really memories in a bottle and not something a normal sophisticated woman would wear in the same way she wears a really fine French parfum. Yes, think Christopher Debrosius I believe is his name, genius behind I Hate Perfume. For that man I have smelled like raked leaves, newly mown grass, gin and tonic and maple something, not sure if it was syrup. Then there was my anything vanilla phase - I smelled like a cookie or a cupcake. But I worked my way back to the big leagues on formal scents and for that reason Gardenia Passion is my sixth choice in Annick Goutal, I like to wear it with silk and black and pink lipstick and false eyelashes and shaved legs. It's clean, it's no one-hit wonder on the basenotes, it's a symphony in gardenia. and it's great for daytime and professional settings, long sillage, don't need to use too much at a go.Read full review

When I was a girl this perfume was the first perfume Givin to me by a boy. I was maybe 16 at the time. So when I ordered this perfume and smelled it again it was like going back in time for just a Moment! I loved it then and I love it now!

This is the best fragrance ever. Not that heavy - makes everyone around you grossed out kind that costs a fortune. Gardenia Passion smells like fresh gardenias. It's light & delightful. Get compliments all the time on this fragrance.

I think this fragrance is as close to real Gardenia as any other "Gardenia" perfume. Spray it on and you'll feel like you are inside a beautiful, fragrant spring garden.
Reviews give Annick Goutal's perfumes high marks. Gardenia Passion should have been called Tuberose Passion because that's what predominates to my nose, and I don't care for tuberose.
