I bought this die set so I could reload for CVA hunter 44 mag pistol I just got. Once I got it set up it all worked like it's supposed to! No deformed or crushed casings, (If you load 44 mag read the directions). This will also reload for 44 special rounds also. The only issue I had was the bullet seater was cup shaped not conical. I found this out when I was reloading Hornady FTX bullets, they did seat alright but the tip was mashed a bit, but they're made to flex, so no real harm was done. ( I later Drilled the center of the bullet seater out with a 1/4 drill, so it no longer crushes cone shaped bullets) Aside from this everything else was great! The price was very good for this 4 piece die set. I also like the fact I don't have to use lube, because these are carbide dies & doesn't require lube. A nice feature! Thanks!Read full review

I'm new to reloading brass cartridges, so it's been a huge learning curve in both the purchasing and setup process. I decided to go with the Lee Classic Turret press and have no regrets. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to set everything up. Sticking with Lee parts/equipment, I purchased the Lee Ultimate Die set in 308 and in 44 Mag. As advertised, you do not need to lube the cases before resizing. I actually did on one batch of brass as I had bought the lube based on other peoples advice. The literature from Lee actually states that the carbide dies do not need lube, so don't use it. Just another step in the whole process to clean the lube off of the brass before shooting it. Would I recommend the Lee Ultimate Die set to others? Absolutely! Great product at a great price.

Lee carbide dies are not only the best I've used, but they are the easiest to use as well! Instructions are easy to follow, well written, and produce great results! Getting them through ebay just makes them just that much more affordable!

I like to reload everything I shoot and 44mag is the newest on the table. I wouldn't do it with any other brand except Lee because they are built strong , to specific sizes , and ez to use ! That's why I buy all Lee products.

I have never had any problems with Lee reloading dies. For handgun reloading. I always purchased the 4 die set, which includes the Factory Crimp Die.The Factory Crimp Die makes an excellent crimp, every time. I use the Taper Crimp Die, to only set the OAL of Bullets.
