This is a very good reproduction of a leather Arisaka sling. I have suggestions for future buyers of this sling so you get the most out of it. As it is a brand new sling, out of the box, it is very rigid and looks almost 'too' new. At first it looked out of place on my series 1 Nagoya with its battle scars, scratches and dings. Here are some suggestions to make the sling 'fit' on your rifle better: 1) Roll the sling up a several times, until the leather starts to become more malleable; 2) Fold creases into the leather along the whole sling; 3) Get an oily/carbon cakes cloth and rub it into the sling a bit to disperse the even coloration a bit; 4) Twist the leather sling up Points to note: - Straight out of the box, because the sling is so rigid, the front sling button will not hold properly, and will keep popping off - to fix this, fold a crease in the sling at the front swivel to get rid of any outward resistance against the button. With use, the sling becomes more malleable and the front sling button will hold the two pieces of leather together. I have found that after doing the above, and with time and use, the sling starts to really feel nice on the rifle, and starts to really belong. I can now say I am extremely happy with the sling.Read full review

This sling looks great, but it's not easy to put on the rifle. There is a youtube video that shows you how to do it, which I recommend.

Good sling for the money. Not exactly like originals from Japan, but great for carrying and shooting the Arisaka. Fit was perfect.

Maybe I’m ignorant, but this sling is way too short for my full-length Type 99. I got it on there, but I can’t see how a sling this short would’ve been practical.

It is a very nice swivel , a little surface rust as described. But not abused in any way. It should cleanup very easy and look good.
