This does work pretty good, but sometimes I have to play with the jaws to get them to engage the stem of the bush I'm trying to pull. I'm trying to get it adjusted correctly to make this job easier. I think the problem may be the spring that's supposed to pull the jaws closed. It doesn't seem to be positioned correctly, so I'm trying to find a way to fix that. Also you must get the release lever in the right position on the handle. The instructions don't help much in that regard.

I think they may overestimate the dive tree it can pull but I was specifically looking for a tool to remove jack pines and this tool works fantastic , I will say I have sandy ground and you can’t pull the tiny 16 in pines (it just strips the bark) but a two footer ant up pulls with ease .What a hand saver
