This book, in beautiful color, shows the high-end examples of RS Prussia, the "Royal Vienna/Germany" related pieces (particularly cobalt), and some E.S. porcelain. The most rare and sought-after pieces are vividly photographed. The author acknowledges she photographed several collections so some duplicattion of some items are in the book. Value guides are included, but prices should not be considered "gospel". Fabulous pictures of the current state of the R.S. Prussia factory in Suhl, Germany, and other historical sights and information are provided. Author's family photos are included, which are nice but the customer pays for them. If the reader wants more information on marks, molds, dates of production, etc., other books are needed (See Marple, Capers and Gaston's books). Overall, McCaslin's book is a very good reference and guide(but not 100% of info. relating to RS Prussia is covered) The photography is beautiful, and her coverage of information is helpful and fascinating. I liked the book very much and use it often.Read full review

Hard cover and nice binding for long life. Beautiful pictures for resourcing and great details for knowing what you are looking for. Much needed info on how to identify true R.S.Prussia pieces. A great book that will make you a smarter and wiser collector.
I love the detail of this pictures and the marks. The fakes are also totally explained and I find this book the best for information on porcelain and pottery from the whole Prussian region.
