ThisisThe AetnaPowder Company Lion No 1 Blasting Machine. Stamped pat jul 1908 on top. This probably has been cleaned up somewhere along its life but still shows use and some slight cracks in the leather handle. The 12th picture shows the builting in testing bulb lighting up when the handle is depressed(I believe that this means it works). It is in great condition with some seasoning cracks in the dovetailed wood case. The terminals are marked with a \"P\" and and \"N\". the sides are marked Aetna Powder co Chicago, Ill USA. The brass holders for the leather strap are marked AP co. The front is marked LION NO.1 Chicago Ill USA. The back is not marked and the bottom has no markings. Itis 16 inches tall compressed and 21 1/2 in pulled full up, 5 1/2 inches wide and 8 inches deep. This is about as good as it gets. Any questions please ask. I would suggest insurance on this but it is not required. This is from the collection of Mr. Marshall(deceased) a 40 year retired master electrician for southern railway. I do not end sales early.
