Rare Authentic Original 1920's-1950's Orange/Black Horned Owl Lamp (Plaster of Paris/Chalkware) I scanned in some very nice photos. I do not use and have not used this Art Piece, but it does work perfectly. Has the two-wire brown cord and plug in and has the three-way lighting control knob. The actual purpose of the three-way lighting back in the 1920's to 1950's was not only to provide lighting but also with the control knob in position 3 the three-way bulb also provided warmth in the room. This Horned Owl Lamp requires the use of a 3-way bulb. Native American Indian believed that the Owl would carry the spirit to the sacred resting ground. Owls are regarded by many as very majestic. Most Horned Owl lamps like this one did not survive the test of time, due to the fragile nature of Chalkware (Plaster of Paris). Only three (3) like it known to exist in the United States, Scarce & Rare.
