RARE MISSION-ERA ART GLASS FLOOR LAMP
Arts & Crafts period, circa 1900–1910

An exceptional and commanding Arts & Crafts floor lamp, hand-crafted in solid oak with a four-sided leaded art glass shade of remarkable quality. Monumental in scale and architectural in form, this piece stands at the intersection of Mission structure and Art Nouveau floral design.

The shade features richly colored, hand-cut leaded glass panels with flowing floral motifs, framed in deep, original oak. When illuminated, the lamp produces a warm, atmospheric glow and functions as a true statement piece intended for a substantial interior. This is not a reproduction or later revival, but an authentic early 20th-century work of American design.

The lamp is attributed to either The Shop of the Crafters of Cincinnati, Ohio, or the Barber Brothers of Grand Rapids, Michigan, both known for limited-production, hand-made Mission-era lighting of high quality. Comparable examples are scarce and seldom appear on the open market.

Details:
The shade measures approximately 26.5 inches square and 10 inches in height.
The solid oak pedestal base stands 50 inches tall, with an estimated total height of approximately 60 inches.
The base weighs approximately 50 pounds; the shade weighs approximately 23 pounds.
The lamp retains its original brass pull chain and has been professionally rewired for safe modern use with a brown cord.

Condition:
Excellent overall condition for its age. The lamp is sturdy, fully functional, and retains a beautiful original patina. There is one small, stable crack in a minor glass panel, clearly shown in the photographs. Otherwise, the glass and structure are exceptionally well preserved.

Provenance:
Privately owned for more than 70 years and offered publicly for the first time.
