Offered is a complete set of 12 vintage Wedgwood Amherst College commemorative dinner plates, made in England and generally dated to approximately 1955.

Each plate features a different blue transfer-printed view associated with Amherst College, including campus buildings, historic scenes, monuments, and Amherst-related subjects. The central illustrations are surrounded by a blue Greek-key border and a richly embossed cream-colored rim decorated with shells, foliage, scrollwork, and stars.

These plates are made from glazed English earthenware or creamware. They are blue-and-cream transferware and are not Wedgwood jasperware.

Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition.There may be minor utensil marks, light surface wear, crazing, or small areas of age-related discoloration consistent with their age. Please examine the photographs closely, including the individual fronts, backs, rims, and backmarks, as the photographs form an important part of the condition description.

A scarce complete set with particular appeal to Amherst College graduates, faculty, families, institutional collectors, and collectors of Wedgwood university and architectural transferware.
