Very nice piece of history offered today from my living estate sale. It is an original fabric swath from the Vin Fiz Wright Brothers bi-plane which made the first U S Transcontinental flight in 1911, piloted by Calbraith Perry Rodgers. This display and fabric was created and released as a very limited edition by the Smithonian Institute. To the best of my knowledge, the original Vin Fiz is still part of the collection of the National Air and Space Museum. At some point over the years a degree of moisture must have caused the slight darkening that encroaches up from the bottom, but terminates before reaching any of the bottom paragraph writing. Overall is display is approx 16" x 22". As always, I include free shipping, a worthy charity donation and use the Best Offer format for all fair buyer considerations.
