For sale is an exceptionally rare and highly sought after, official directional street sign for the British Grand Prix.

This sign is an iconic piece of history (and motorsport history) that was produced for directing traffic to the event. The sign was produced by the AA and is manufactured from enamel. It would have been one of the last enamel signs of its kind before aluminium was introduced. The sign depicts the John Player branding as well as they were the official sponsors. The sign was acquired from Coys saleeers in London and it has been highly treasured.

The sign is single sided and it is a commanding piece. It measures approximately 3ft in length and has a substantial weight to it. The best way for the sign to be displayed is for it to be wall mounted but it will sit comfortably on a shelf when supported by the wall.

The sign does display notes of age and light weathering, however it still makes for a wonderful display piece.
