Large antique Wisconsin State Reformatory Farm sign.

Reformatory farms were introduced in the early 1900s as part of a program to reform Wisconsin State inmates through various forms of labor.

This sign originates from the Green Bay Wisconsin area.

Original paint.

Large in size.

Heavy duty construction.

Nice wide frame.

Perfectly distressed from decades of use, displays great.

61 1/2” long | 37 5/8” wide | 2 7/8” thick, frame

CONDITION

Good condition overall, weathered from decades of use outdoors.

Scuffs, scratches, dings, dents, marks, staining, paint loss, edge wear, etc.

Cracked and worn paint.

Some paint is flaky and curled up but is still adhered to the sign.

Small chips of wood missing here and there.

Wood missing from the corner/top of the frame, front and back, frame is still solid, does not affect use. (see pics)

Small wamo on back, does not show through to front.

Missing a piece of inner trim along the top on the back.

Overall a nice, solid sign, displays great.
