This is an Extremely RareSUPERMAN SILENT FLAME TABLE LIGHTER by DUNHILL.Early 1940's battery-operated lighter has overall size of 3x3x4.5" tall. Bakelite plastic base with an attached solid plated cast metal Superman figure which itself is 3" tall. Complete with the pull-out cylindrical flame unit. Battery box interior is complete, I did not try to get lighter to work having no experience with lighters, I felt it best to leave it alone.. Complete with the underside panel featuring Dunhill company information. Tiniest trace of aging to Superman figure, I found no loss of luster loss with a magnifying glass. The lighter displays exceptionally well, overall it is very attractive. A rare Superman item marketed to adults. Lighter represents a true Superman rarity and presents an amazing opportunity for the Superman completist.
