This edition was created in 1989 and is numbered 112/500. It features an image drawn byFriz Frelenghimself, transferredinto a hand Painted and hand Signed, Warner Bros Limited Edition. Image features the iconic image of Porky Pig over the famous target logo at the end of all the Looney Tunes cartoons.Cel size is about 13 x 11 inches. A really great early edition of the great Friz Freleng.The Cel is hand painted just like a production cel would be, but this image is better because it was specifically designed to be a piece of artwork. Now this is one of the earliest Warner Bros limited edition ever release. Long before the now Closed Warner Bros Studio Store. Most of the other cels from this edition have not aged well. I frequently see them with faded signature. This piece a Strong, Bold Signature of the Animation legend, Friz Freleng!Comes with a Warner Bros issued OriginalCertificate of Authenticity.
BONUS:The most important part of this display, is that it's framed up with an autographed by the great Mel Blanc. Voice actor for almost all of the WB cartoons. Mel has to be the most prolific voice actor in the history of cartoons. I think you'll be very pleased with the size and quality of the presentation.Isadore "Friz" Freleng (August 21, 1905 – May 26, 1995) was an animator, cartoonist, director, and producer best known for his work on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons from Warner Bros. He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the cat, Yosemite Sam (to whom he was said to bear more than a passing resemblance) and Speedy Gonzales. The senior director at Warner's Termite Terrace studio, Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won four Academy Awards. After Warner Bros shut down the animation studio in 1963, Freleng and business partner David DePatie founded DePatie-Freleng Enterprises, which produced cartoons (notably The Pink Panther Show), feature film title sequences, and Saturday morning cartoons through the early 1980s. The nickname "Friz" came from how "frizzly" his hair was at one time.
