A wonderful Georgian BOTANICAL DESSERT SERVICE by COALPORT. 21 Pieces. C.1820:

An ANTIQUE GEORGIAN COALPORT BOTANICAL DESSERT SERVICE. A complete service of 12 9” Dessert Plates, 4 Serving Plates, a Small Platter and a Beautiful raised Tazza/Cake Stand Centerpiece Each piece superbly hand painted with different British Flowers, so very typical of this most elegant of periods.

Roses, morning glories, fuchsia, blue gentian and poppy to name only a few of the flowers represented here. All of these are painted on a lovely peach/apricot ground with gilt Rococo styled trim.

My Scottish grandmother, a NYC couturier ,bought this set circa 1912. It has been in my family ever since.

Though only used for display by her, there are still signs of its age. Today, there are options for a complete repair. Please do ask for more thorough/detailed condition reports.

This wonderful set is comprised of the following:

1 Centerpiece Cake Stand

4 10 1/2" Serving Plates. on bases with handles

1 12" Oval Serving Plate

11 9" Dessert Plates.

Please note: As was typical of certain English China manufactured during the early 19th century, the pieces are irritatingly unmarked .
