An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage 0.06 carat ruby, 0.24 carat diamond and 9 carat yellow gold mirror/powder compact made by Cartier; an addition to our Cartier collectables collection

Description

This exceptional vintage 9 carat yellow gold compact has a circular form.

The surface of this Cartier compact is embellished with impressive engine turned decoration.

The centre of the cover is ornamented with an applied claw set cluster design, comprised of an impressive 0.06ct round faceted ruby to the centre encompassed with eight Old European cut diamonds, totalling 0.24ct.

The hinged cover secures with a push fit catch.

This impressive compact opens to reveal the original integrated mirror and powder compartment; this compact retains the original powder puff.

The interior rim of the case bears the renowned maker's/retailer's signature 'Cartier, London' and registration number '2389'.

A vintage Cartier compact has timeless sophistication and is an exceptional gift for milestone birthdays, anniversaries or distinguished achievements. This is a refined heirloom for those who treasure Cartier's enduring elegance.

The mirror is in perfect condition.

The impressive ruby displays fine colour and brilliance, and the diamonds display a fine white colour and brilliance.

Full hallmarks struck to the interior rim of the base are clear in keeping with age and use.

The Cartier signature to the rim of the cover is clear.
