The men's captain pilot uniform was custom-made by Murphy & Hartelius, Tailors of Taste, located in San Mateo, California. Because the suit was custom-made there are no labels with sizes. I have measured the suit and think that the suit coat is around a mens 43 Tall and the pants are around 36-34. The suit coat has a special label with the inscription "Custom Made for Capt Don Funk". The suit is made of high-quality heavy fabric and weighs around 4 lbs. The suit is in good vintage condition. The clip-on tie included with the ensemble measures 18" in length and is 3 1/2' wide. The label on the back shows that it is a Smoothie button-down tie made by the Schreter Company. The pilot shirt included was made by Van Heusen. It is a short-sleeved men's Tall, 16 1/2". The shirt has a blue label with "Van Heusen". It sports pleated pockets with a place to put your pen. There are some light stains on the shirt. Completing the ensemble is a captain's pilot hat. The hat is a size 7 5/8". The top measures 10 3/4" in diameter. The inside of the hat band has faint remnants of the company that made the hat. Based on research, I believe that it was likely made by the Bernard Cap Co., but that is just an educated guess The hat includes the badge and is in good condition, but there is a faint outline on the inside of the bill consistent with a sticker. The ensemble does not include the pilots wings.
