JT Aviation Displays LLC has for sale is a very special aviation display that you cannot get anywhere else, and even if you could, it certainly wouldn’t work like it did when on the airplane. I have a one of a kind museum grade collector aviation display piece that was made functional for in home display use. Perfect for any aviation buff or more specifically fan of the DC-9 and MD-80 series aircraft. This is the right hand side wingtip assembly removed from Delta Airlines MD-88 N908DE, msn 53417, l/n 2032. N908DE was a factory new delivered aircraft to Delta where it flew its entire life.

This wingtip was restored and cleaned inside and out, then mounted on a custom built display stand capable of displaying the wingtip upright on the floor or desk, or cable or supporting the weight mounted on a wall horizontally like it was on the aircraft. The position lights were converted to an accurate output LED bulb in the original fixtures. The retractable landing light motor was converted to correct rpm DC motor controlled via a up/down toggle switch. Lastly, the landing light bulb is the original 600watt bulb ran at 12v also controlled via a on/off switch.

The base stand is 11”x4’. The wingtip is 58” and 24” tall. Total weight of the display is 59lbs.
