For sale today is a possible pair of Ruby Red Slippers from the Wizard Of Oz. I bought these around 2 years ago as part of a storage sale in Banning CA that was originally owned by an antique shop. The antique shops name was Tumbleweed Express. The owner of the storage unit had passed away and that\'s how I acquired the shoes among 2 truck loads of antiques. The newspaper which was with the slippers has a dancer for MGM back in the days on the cover who used to dance with Judy Garland among others. This is dated July 1, 1988. It was stated on the paper he was given a test pair of slippers by Judy Garland herself. The masks on the front of the newspaper I had received also and have sold those. The pair is a size 6B and was the stand ins size for Judy Garland Caren Marsh Doll. She is still alive and lives in Palm Springs CA and is 107 years old. The cards in the pictures are the business cards of Norman Borine who was the MGM dancer from the news article. It was stated in the article \"Those red slippers were worn by Judy Garland in a test for \"The wizard of Oz\"to see how they would photograph in color\". This is directly from the article. The shoes are from Bullocks Collegienne which was in business when the movie was filmed. They have a reddish paint like the other pairs that have been sold.
