Circa 1880's to 1890's Native American Germantown Woman's Manta Rug:

This is a very special ethnographic Germantown women's manta that is really early. It has a dark center, and it is wider than long. All of the following measurements for the rug are approximate. It's on a cotton warp and has some twill weaving techniques to the wool (see pictures). It was very likely made for Native use. The rug is 56" wide X 40 tall ". This rug is estimated to be from the 1880's to 1890's. It is in good condition; this is a beautiful Germantown rug!
