Difficult image.
Four Caucasian men pose as a literal novelty. One Native American man in the prominent seat and the child propped on the hood
of the car.The Native men wear beautifully beadworked dress & the boy Western dress. Given his disheveled state, his was likely a last minute addition to the set.
Individual expressions are well worth noting. Some are uncomfortable, others smug. Man nearly obscured (standing back row) seems to smirk with the most confident eye contact of any.
Strong sepia contrast w/ even toning to margins. Obvious chip to bottom left does not affect image. Unused AZO. No location identification.
Worthy addition to any collection considering cultural assimilation.
