c. 1803. East India Company Regiment CastBrass Pouch Badge, Assaye Battle Honour. The badge is an elephant on ground over a banner inscribed "ASSAYE", decorated around the face and neck area.Possibly made for one of the East India Company regiments that were entitled to the battle honour for Assaye 1803, son by Arthur Wellesley, later Duke of Wellington. Two square loop fittings on the reverse. In very good condition. 3.8 X 3.1 cm.
