This is a vintage Buckeye Root Beer metal sign dating back to the 1910's - 1930's. This particular embossed sign would have most likely been used on a soda fountain and mounted directly onto a countertop syrup dispenser or even a wooden root beer barrel dispenser. Soda dispensers from this era were prized centerpieces of American Drugstores. The Buckeye Root Beer Brand was owned and distributed by the Cleveland Fruit Juice Company (C.F.J. Co.) of Cleveland, Ohio as you'll see at the bottom of the sign. The stamped 5 cent graphic is a classic indicator of its pre WWII status as that was the standard price for a frosty mug of root beer from the late 1800's through the early 1930's. A very cool find that is in great vintage condition as the pictures show. Measures 8.625" across and is 5.875" high.
