Georg Jensen Pyramid Sterling Silver Tea Set No. 600A – 3 Pieces – 1945–1951

A three-piece tea service in the Pyramid pattern — teapot No. 600 A, sugar box No. 600, and creamer No. 600 — designed by Harald Nielsen in 1927 and executed by Georg Jensen Silversmiths / Jensen & Wendel, Copenhagen, production period 1945–1951. Sterling silver 925. All three pieces fully hallmarked with the Jensen & Wendel mark characteristic of the immediate post-war production period.

The teapot No. 600 A — the lower, wider tea format as distinct from the taller coffeepot No. 600 B — presents the Pyramid pattern in its most horizontally composed form: a broad, gently domed body with the characteristic stepped handle and spout terminals, the lid finial carrying the pyramid motif in its most distilled expression. At 712 grams of sterling silver, the teapot alone represents an exceptional weight for a piece of this format. The complete three-piece set carries a combined silver weight of over 1,100 grams.

The sugar box and creamer are shared with the coffeepot service (No. 600 B), making the two sets complementary — a complete Pyramid tea and coffee service can be assembled by combining both. Please enquire via messaging if interested in the complete five-piece service.

Historical ContextThe Pyramid pattern was designed by Harald Nielsen (1892–1977), who joined the Georg Jensen workshop in 1909 and served as artistic director from 1935 to 1962. Introduced in 1926–1927, Pyramid is the defining Art Deco design of the Georg Jensen repertoire — geometric, precise, and of enduring formal discipline.

The Jensen & Wendel mark identifies production from the immediate post-war years 1945–1951, following the resumption of full production after the German occupation of Denmark (1940–1945). Quality standards of this period are consistently high and the hallmark is among the most sought-after by collectors of mid-century Georg Jensen hollowware.
