VERY RARE!!!! Igael Tumarkin made this bronze in 1966 in Israel. It is #3 of an edition of 5. It is a massive bronze weighing 46 pounds or 20.8 kilograms. The height of the bronze is 15 1/2". The width is 12 1/4". The depth is 8 3/4". The front features a mask-like face of a man with a moustache. The areas of the face are demarcated with numbers 1 through 5. The back of the head has Albert Einstein's famous equation of E=MC2. The bronze, itself, is a homage not just to Albert Einstein but to man's technological abilities. The bust sits on a massive bronze platform which has hints of skyscrapers, bridges and buildings. On the back left are gears, steel infrastructure, all images to evoke industry. Tumarkin, cleverly and brilliantly demonstrates in a beautiful brutalist style, his heartfelt thoughts and emotions. What kind of emotion? Love! The front of the bronze with its' beautiful blues, reds and greens demonstrates zones, which are in fact the various areas in the brain. He cast this bronze in 1966 and called it "Conflict". Under the chin of the bronze is Tumarkin's signature and date along with XXXX's for kisses and a heart with an arrow through it ---- love is as important as technology and mans' brilliance.
