AMAZING Vintage ALFRED DUNHILL Paris 18K Solid Gold Enamel ROULETTE CIGARETTE CASE 145 Grams of SOLID GOLD!

We present to you a extremely rare Alfred Dunhill solid 18 karat yellow gold cigarette case. Absolutely fabulous.It is from Dunhill Paris company and most likely dates from the 1940s. (The first Paris store was established circa 1924 (approximate). Envision some lucky person acquiring this case in Paris, on the way to test their luck in Monaco, or better yet, on their way home with the winnings.

It featuresa MAGNIFICENT roulette wheel taking up most of the lid, the surface inlaid with black & red enamel, including the numbers.

The case is all 18K yellow gold, with a textured back. It weighs a very hefty 145.1 grams, or an amazing 4.66 troy ounces of .750 gold.

The case is hallmarked with the French control mark for 18K purity (Eagle in hexagonal cartouche, with the number 3). This mark is on the lower inside lip of the case as well as on the top thumb tab. There are insect counter markings under both hallmarks. There is also a diamond-shaped maker's mark which is quite hard to make out.

Condition of the case is in good pre-owned shape. The lady or gentleman who owned it did use it, so there is some wear from that use. I'm going to describe these for accuracy: There are some small soft pinpoint dings, 5 on the top and 4 on the bottom, none on the sides. The top ones, except for one, can really only be noticed when you hold the case at an angle to the light. There is two flaked roulette cell (a black one); there are a couple other very small enamel losses to a few numbers as well. Very fine surface scratching from use.All that being said the piece still looks amazing.

The case measures: 3-1/2" wide by 2-7/8" deep by 3/8" high.

Finely hand-engraved in block print is "ALFRED DUNHILL PARIS"
