Absolutely gorgeous and one of a kind named lot belonging to MAJ Owen T. Brewer. MAJ Brewer was a P-51D Mustang pilot during the Korean War and was shot down twice during his service. On OCT 15th 1950 MAJ Brewers mustang was struck by ground fire at Namchon- Jon near Pyongyang. MAJ Brewer bailed out of his mustang successfully and was returned to military control (this lot is from that incident) He was again shot down on 11 May 1951 but did not bail out and chose to crash land in a river in friendly territory. This lot includes everything shown in the photos including a copy of the hand written letter from MAJ Brewer himself authenticating these items as his own and used during his bail out. There is still a ton of research to be done on this lot including his possible mention and presence at a Medal of Honor act. You will never find a Korean War lot like this again !!!!!
