This is a fine and super marked Griswold Artillery Sabre made in New Orleans. Brass scabbard is fine with a few minor dents and uncleaned. Blade has no real pitting but a lot of dark staining. Super Markings. Thomas Griswold & Co. New Orleans and you won't find a better marked one with full firm markings. Hilt is nice with three initials scratched in on the guard. The wire and leather has been replaced and price indicates that. Guaranteed original for life. This is the real deal.
