Professionally framed display featuring a cut signed by WWII U.S. Marine Rene Gagnon. Gagnon was one of the second group of Marines who raised the Flag on top of Mount Sirabachi during the battle of Iwo Jima famously captured by photographer Joe Rosenthal. Rosenthal's photo has become one of the most recognized and famous photos in history. After the Battle of Iwo Jima, Gagnon, Ira Hayes and James Bradley were removed from battle and put on a War Bond tour throughout the United States. Gagnon died in 1979. The signature is authenticated by PSA #J33475.
