A magnificent original work by the hand of the great Carl Barks (1901 - 2000), this excellent image of Scrooge McDuck in his overflowing money bin is titledI May Have to Spend Some of This Stuff.Masterfully rendered in color pencil, this piece was created for Mr. Barks' 96th birthday celebration at Walt Disney World. It was part of a series of 75 illustrations he made specifically for the event. A must-have piece for any fan of the Good Duck Artist, this original work would be made into the last serigraph produced by the Carl Barks Studio exclusively for Walt Disney Attractions. An incredible find! This illustration is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 12.75" x 9.5" and an overall frame size of 23.5" x 20.75". The frame is sold as-is. The work is accompanied by an photo copy invitation for the Birthday Celebration event. Well preserved in the frame, this piece is signed by Carl Barks, and shows very little handling wear. A rare original work created by Carl Barks at the age of 95! The condition of this coveted gem is Fine.
