The initial first pitch was delivered by William Howard Taft in 1910 at Washington's Griffith Stadium. Following the end of World War II, Harry S. Truman threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the 1945 World Series. He would, in fact, throw out eight first pitches, seven on Opening Day from 1946-1952. This century-long union has thus created a unique market for single-signed Presidential autographed baseballs. Harry S.
