The actress signs a contract with the William Morris Agency
Contract signed: "Natalie Wood", 3p, front and verso, 8¼x13¾. Beverly Hills, California, 1960 August 2. Contract between Wood and the William Morris Agency engaging them as her agent for television motion pictures for a period of three years commencing August 2, 1960. Over the term of this contract, Wood appeared in several feature films: All the Fine Young Cannibals and Cash McCall in 1960, West Side Story and Splendor in the Grass in 1961, Gypsy in 1962 and Love With the Proper Stranger in 1963. She did not make any made-for-TV movies until the 1970s, beginning with The Affair in 1973. Also signed by an Agent for the William Morris Agency, Inc. Possessing a classic beauty at an early age, Natalie Wood (1938-1981) successfully made the transition from a child star (1947's holiday favorite Miracle on 34th Street) to screen ingénue to accomplished mature actress. Along with Elizabeth Taylor, the photogenic Wood was queen of the fan magazines in the 1950s and proved her talent with Academy Award nominations for Rebel Without a Cause (1955), Splendor in the Grass (1961) and Love with the Proper Stranger (1963). Other film credits of the versatile actress, who died in 1981, include West Side Story and Gypsy. Lightly creased. Staple holes at upper left blank corners, 2 file holes at upper blank margin. Light red stain at upper right blank margin of first page. Fine condition.
