This was a highly popular song which prompted Braniff to issue a sleek Flying Colors printed sheet music along with an accompanying floppy record of the song in Calder Red which was placed in the B Liner, Braniff's employee news magazine. A unique Flying Colors iron on shirt transfer was placed in the Flying Colors Inflight Magazine, for Braniff passengers to share in the Bicentennial Celebration, and was also sent out to employees in a special Flying Colors kit. The lyrics to the song Flying Colors of the United States were featured in single page magazine ads with the Calder 727 as the centerpiece of the advertisement: 200 Years America, look how far you've come. 200 Years America, look up there's a future to be won.
