In 1756 with Royal patronage and financial support from King Louis XV and Madame de Pompadour a new porcelain factory was built on the edge of the village of Sevres. Painters were famed for their skills, like Jean-Louis Morin and Etienne-Henry Le Guay. This Urn Vase made in 1771 for Marie Antoinette, an early supporter of the factory, then this vase was given to Catherine the Great and she present it to her lover, the Prince Grigori Potemkin around 1779. Great Grand parents of the Owner of our Hollywood based company purchased the vase from the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
