Are you ready to go on a blast from the past? Maybe take an incredible journey down Memory Lane? Well, if you are then hold tight to your seat because you are about to embark on the most bodacious ride of your life.

I have for sale here an incredible vintage 1971 Schwinn five speed Grey Ghost Stingray bicycle with its awesome disc brake. Wow!

The November 1971 dated original Grey Ghost frame and its original restored silk screened chain guard are in incredible condition considering they’re both 55 years old now.

The five speed shifter is in excellent condition. I don’t see very much rust on this shifter at all. It is one of the better ones out there.

The springer fork assembly is the original 1971 fork assembly. It is in good original condition. It is not perfect, but what do you expect for something that is 55 years old?

The Grey Ghost Schwinn banana seat was professionally restored and it looks just like the original 1971 Grey Ghost banana seat.

The shock absorbing sissy bars is the original 1971 sissy bars. The chrome still good on it considering it is 55 years old as well. The two shock absorbers on it still work.

If you look at the pedals you will see they are the original 1971 silver reflector pedals. Both of them are in good working condition. These pedals add authenticity to this bicycle.

The front and rear fenders are an original 1971 stingray safety edge fenders. The chrome on it looks decent, but they do not look brand new. Once again, they are 55 years old and you’re not going to find a picture perfect pair of 55-year-old fenders anywhere in the world.

The 3 1/4 inch rear bicycle reflector is brand new and it adds that extra pizzazz to this bicycle.

The rear five speed wheel is the original 1971 disc brake Schwinn wheel. The disc brake caliper is dated 1971. The complete wheel is in fabulous condition. You will not find very much rust on this baby.

The rear 20 inch tire is the original 1971 dated Schwinn Gripper Slik tire. It is an excellent condition.

The front 16 inch wheel is the original drum brake wheel. It almost looks brand new. The drum brake works perfect on it.

The front 16 inch tire is the original 1972 dated Schwinn Superior fire. It too is in great condition, considering it is nearly 55 years old.

The handlebars, the gooseneck stem, and the crank are all date stamp 71. They are the original ones that came with this bicycle. All of them are in fantastic condition.

The chain and the derailleur are in great condition. The derailleur shifts good when the 5-speed shifter goes from first gear to fifth gear.

I am also including many optional accessories with this bicycle. These accessories were only reserved for the rich kids back in their hey day. I’m including the black and silver glitter streamers, the black brake lever covers, the grey brake cables, the white Schwinn water bottle and bracket, the black Flag valve stem caps (coming soon), the original 1971 Schwinn utility tool bag, the chrome triple trumpet horn, the Stingray labeled checkerboard mirror, the original working 1971 Schwinn chrome pumpkin headlight, an original raccoon tail, a vintage early 70s Schwinn security cable lock with a silver glitter plastic covering, an early 70s Louisville Slugger baseball bat and a Franklin baseball mitt, both signed Babe Ruth’s name, the chrome baseball bat holder, the early 70s working Schwinn speedometer and driver (coming soon), and the pièce de ré·sis·tance, the original, unblemished, working 1969 Schwinn Stingray rear taillight (coming soon). Wow! Try finding all these accessories on any other bicycle being sold on . Trust me, you won’t find very many of them.

This bicycle is being sold as is. That means there will be no returns or refunds allowed. What you see is what you get so please make sure this is what you want before you purchase it.

Thanks for looking at my mostly original 1971 Schwinn Orange Krate five speed bicycle and God bless America.
