This is an exceptionally rare and historically important archive documenting mid-20th century criminal justice operations in Cook County, Illinois. One of the most scrutinized and politically influential court systems in American history.
The collection includes 21 original 8 x 10 silver gelatin photographs, each depicting a fully seated Grand Jury with complete juror identifications, along with an original 1946 campaign card for Vincent J. Poklacki, candidate for Clerk of the Criminal Court.

Very good plus overall condition. Excellent clarity, contrast and surface gloss, with only mild curl typical of period photo paper. Tiny unobtrusive crease at lower left margin of 1947 April Term. The July 1948 photo has what appears to be 3/4" archival tape reinforcing a light edge tear on center left. Two photos of the February 1947 Grand Jury term.
