William "Bill" Elwood McGee was a prominent businessman, avid collector, and longtime resident of Scottsdale, Arizona, best known for opening McGee's Indian Den. McGee was a successful and noteworthy Indian Trader among Arizona's Hopi and Navajo Indians. His life long Indian trading career began at Greasewood, with added post ownerships at Na-ah-tee, Bitahochee, and Coal Mine Mesa. He built a major Indian trading hub at Keams Canyon and also owned posts at Polacca and remote Pinon, AZ. In 1959, he opened McGee's Indian Den in Scottsdale, including an Indian Museum.
