Chuck Yeager signed Bell X-1 model airplane, the plane Yeager piloted on 14 October 1947 when he broke the sound barrier in a dangerous, top-secret flight not disclosed to the public until a year later. Model plane is a 1/32 scale model, signed "Chuck Yeager" in black felt-tip on the right wing. Plane measures 11.5" long x 9.25" wide x 7.25" tall as displayed. Excellent condition accompanied with a photograph of Yeager signing it and the original packaging. Also comes with a TLS signed by Chuck Yeager abou this piece and plane. One recently sold elsewhere for over $1,200 without the signed letter by Yeager explaining this plane.
