Allante’ was Cadillac's turning point in advanced technology, and definitely speaks volumes about

the build quality and engineering that the Cadillac / Pininfarina teams put into these automobiles.

In 1989 a torquey4.5L V8 replaced the earlier engine. The chiseled Italian body, sumptuous

hand stitchedleather interior, advanced automotive refinements, and classic top-down roadster

platform makethisparticularAllante an excellent choicefor an investment grade collectable,

and Fun to Drive.

The original pearl white is a great choice, looking very high-tech, elegant, and a perfect match

for the Allante’sbeautiful body lines. Cadillac would ship the Custom Chassis to Italy to

have the entire Body and Interior Hand Fittedby Pininfarina. Then, Pininfarina wouldship the

completed bodies, interiors, and chassis back to Americaon a specially-configured Boeing 747

for final assembly at Hamtramck.

Fortunately, this Allante has aged quite well because of limited ownership, and excellent care.

Fit and finish are verygood,with just 64,520 original miles. It is obviously a favorite

vehicle of mine. The paint is completely original, with near perfectblack/charcoal leather

interior that is very inviting. The deep bucket seats are as comfortable as they look.

Along with the beautiful interior, the very high tech fully functional gauges will bring a

smile every time it starts-up. The manually operated soft top is very quick and easy to put

up and down. It is in very good condition, but not perfect.

The engine bay is clean and is all stock. Thanks to attentive, regular GM

service, the A/C system will freeze you out, and she runs and drives as if just driven

off the showroom floor. The 4-speed automatictransmission, with lock-out overdrive,is

quick to grab a lower gear when required. The suspension is supple without being

luxury car clumsy. The 4-wheel discswith ABS are standard, and live behind factory

alloy wheels which wear 225/55/16 radials. The1993 Allante’ wheels and Michelin
