Offered here is aRare copy ofDETECTIVE COMICS #35, CGC 5.0, 1940. Classic cover features Batman and a villain with a Hypodermic Needle cover, as well as Batman with a smoking .45 automatic pistol on the Splash page. ONLY 5 nicer copies in the Census, rare in any grade but this one looks like an 8.0, the best looking mid grade you will ever find. CGC could not verify, but I personally bought this book in 1993 from Steve Geppi at his Diamond Gallery Opening Gala, he had just bought out The Overstreet Price Guide, as well as Bob Overstreet's personal collection. The collection was brought out for sale to those of us who attended the party, I bought the Detective Comics 32, 34 & 35 that day and have kept this one all these years because I loved the cover.The book is an extremelynice book, displays extremely well, a great copy of this truly rare book. I have a photo of the label for all the grade notes. Delivery can be discussed on the book, for now I am going to list as pick up only but will work out the details with buyer.
