For your consideration is an exceedingly rare and historically significant c.1923 Imperial German and Danish Royalty autograph album page, personally hand-signed by Her Royal Highness Princess Thyra of Denmark, Hereditary Prince Ernst August of Hanover, Duke of Cumberland, His Royal Highness Prince George William of Hanover, and Her Royal Highness Princess Olga of Hanover. This exceptional document features a grouping of four high-ranking royal signatures, each inscribed in black ink, making it a one-of-a-kind artifact from the House of Hanover and the Danish royal family.
This original album page, measuring approximately 5.5" x 6.5", was signed in Gmunden, Austria, on the 13th and 15th of August 1923, a location closely associated with the exiled Hanoverian royal family. The signatures are clear, legible, and exceptionally well-preserved, with only a minor water stain in the lower left-hand corner, as pictured. Given the familial ties to both the British and German monarchies, this piece holds significant historical importance.
Princess Thyra of Denmark (18531933) was the daughter of King Christian IX of Denmark and became the Duchess of Cumberland following her marriage to Ernest Augustus, Crown Prince of Hanover. She was closely related to multiple European royal houses, including the British monarchy. Her son, Prince Ernst August of Hanover (18871953), later became the Duke of Brunswick and was the husband of Princess Victoria Louise of Prussia, daughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Prince George William of Hanover (19152006) was the son of Duke Ernst August and Princess Victoria Louise, making him the grandson of the last German Emperor, Wilhelm II. His lineage connects him directly to both the Prussian and British royal houses.
Princess Olga of Hanover and Cumberland (18841958), the youngest daughter of Ernest Augustus, Duke of Cumberland, was a direct descendant of both the British and Hanoverian royal families. Remaining unmarried throughout her life, she resided primarily in Austria.
This museum-quality autograph page is a highly valuable collector's piece, offering a tangible link to Europe's royal past. With four members of the House of Hanover signing together, this rare manuscript is a one-of-a-kind artifact, ideal for collectors of royal memorabilia, historical autographs, and European aristocratic history. Guaranteed authentic.
