INCREDIBLE 1930s/1940s Old Pawn Sterling Leather Concho Belt, Turquoise Buckle:

This one of a kind Old Pawn belt is an absolute masterwork and we have not seen anything else quite like it. Very old, from either the 1930's or 1940's. Signed DM.
The scalloped leather is thick and heavy with coiled edges, with 9 handmade, domed sterling conchos artistically sewn into it. Fine pear-shape turquoise is set into an ornate sterling buckle.
It is a super hefty piece, weighing 858 grams including the leather (as the silver conchos are sewn in, they cannot be removed to be weighed individually). The belt is 40" long, and 3.5" maximum width. Each sterling concho measures 3" x 2.5".
Good antiqued condition appropriate for its age.
We cannot stress enough how special and rare this piece is. It is an exquisite example of Native American craftsmanship, a statement to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
